Set up Orbit Finance in a few minutes

Download for your platform

Use the download link from your purchase email — macOS and Windows are available now. Android is coming soon; we’ll email you when it’s ready.

Install the app

• macOS: open the downloaded .dmg and drag Orbit Finance into Applications. On first launch macOS may say the app is from an unidentified developer — right-click the app and choose Open, then click Open again to confirm. This is only needed once. (Orbit Finance is safe; the prompt appears because we don’t yet pay for Apple’s signing certificate.)
• Windows: run the downloaded .exe installer. Windows may show a blue “Windows protected your PC” SmartScreen screen — click More info, then Run anyway to install. Same reason as above: the app isn’t code-signed yet, not a problem with the app.
• Android (when available): enable “Install unknown apps” for your browser or file manager in Settings, then open the .apk to sideload it.

Paste your license key

On first launch, Orbit Finance asks for your license key. Copy it from your purchase email and paste it in. Your key is tied to your email and works on up to two of your devices — no internet connection is needed to activate.

Complete the setup wizard

The wizard walks you through your company details, currency, financial year, and whether you run a service or retail business — so the app and your statements are tailored from day one. You can change any of this later in Settings.

Import your previous data

Already keep books elsewhere? Go to Settings → Data to import your existing records and pick up where you left off. Everything stays on your device.
